To say that I was very  pleased with my shadow box AND the entire purchase experience is an understatement. The Relic Wood staff were engaged and responsive from the moment I began the process of ordering until the design was finalized. They ensured that every minute detail I requested was included in the final product and did not proceed without my consent. In fact, I took a week or two to look for a specific image I wanted in the box and they remained patient with me throughout. Once I got my stuff together they made the box VERY QUICKLY but with great care/craftsmanship. The box looked GREAT and I honestly regret not adding more images to the outside due to  an unwarranted fear it would look bad.  My husband retired from the military as well and received ed absolutely nothing to honor his service. I think I am going to order a box for him for his service.
My shadow box/chest turned out amazing. I
would HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone who wants a keepsake to honor their service or that of someone who has served to use this company.  You will not regret it.

We started a tradition taken from the US Military, of giving a custom designed footlocker that can hold all of his keepsakes; as well as his helmet, boots, and uniform. It’s nice enough to have in your living room, and some day his great grandkids can open it to see the very uniform their great Grandad wore. The picture on the front is laser etched onto the wood, it has a brass name plate, and a sliding shelf. I placed badges, patches, and pins from both his service to the PD, as well as his military service onto the inside lid, to dress it up; like a shadow box. He served 32 years, I figured, if you committed that much time to the PD, you should get something really nice. People get plaques, and that’s nice, but eventually they end up in a drawer or in the garage. Congrats, Tony, you earned it!
