The Boards of the Special Forces Association Chapter LX (SFALX) and the Tampa Green Beret Association (TGBA) nominated CWO Camargo for the RELIC WOOD DANIEL GASKEY HEROIC ACTION AWARD.

The RELIC WOOD Selection Committee was moved by the personal and heroic story of CWO Camargo’s survival when he served as a member of Special Forces – Afghanistan, and the manner in which CWO Camargo has continued to serve his military brethren after he received extensive medical treatment and retired from the military.

“It’s an honor to announce that CWO Romy Camargo is the recipient of the 2016 DANIEL GASKEY HEROIC ACTION AWARD, said RELIC WOOD President Micah Breden. “Romy Camargo is a real American military hero and someone we should all look up to with utmost respect for his service to our country.”
